Event Details

Many Citizens of Mumbai took time out on Sunday, 25 October (2009), of their weekend schedules and came together to paint their creativity on the walls of Mumbai - A wonderful initiative by the BMC and the Wall Project

However, within less than 24 hours, the beautiful walls had been vandalized by sticking movie posters. Which represented disrespect and disregard for the designers of the wall, the citizens and for the very noble intent of the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Cooperation)

Kindly sign the below petition, so we may share the support here with people in the film fraternity (producers, production houses, actors etc.), bloggers, BMC, Advertising/PR agencies, Government Officials, Media Professionals

In order to show our unity, a few of us plan to meet this Saturday and take down all those movie posters that hide the beautiful paintings and reclaim our walls back. This is a leaderless movement, we the undersigned petitioners are going to be there on Saturday 31 October 2009 from 9am onwards, feel free to join us.

This petition/movement is being initiated, so that in future no such thing happens with the efforts we take to beautify our city.

We have to stop being resigned and cynical about changelessness and stiffness of the goons who vandalise.
